Parents' Association
The Parents' Association is very pleased to welcome you to Combe Bank.  Membership of the Association is automatic when your daughter joins the school.

The PA are a committee of around thirty parents who meet regularly during the year, with three main aims in mind.

1. To raise funds for the benefit of the school as a whole.
2. To provide a friendly and informal basis for meeting other parents.
3. To maintain an interest in the well-being of the School.

The PA feel that parents' involvement enhances the friendly atmosphere of the school and, therefore, we try to arrange social events which are enjoyable occasions as well as opportunities to raise funds relatively painlessly.

Social events which we have organised during the past few years include a Quiz night, Discos for the Senior and Junior girls, a Firework night, a Burns night, a Race night, a Horse Show plus the Summer Fete and the Summer Ball, as well as many other events. All parents are encouraged to attend these events.

The success of these and other events has enabled us to fund the purchase of many items, including the school mini-bus, computers, cameras, musical instruments, gym and playground equipment, a PA system and rucksacks for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

So you can see that we are always looking for enthusiastic parents (new and old) who can occasionally spare a little time from their busy day to offer bright ideas or practical help and keep us all 'on our toes', and show our daughters just how much can be achieved by a little combined effort and a lot of goodwill.

Every Form has a representative on the Parents' Association, so please do not hesitate to introduce yourself - we are not 'Association types' just parents like yourself who are pleased to find that our daughters and the school benefit from our participation.

If you would like any further information regarding the Parents Association, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 01959 563720.
