Good careers advice is of prime importance at Combe Bank and forms a fundamental part of the girls' education.
During each girl's school career, we prepare her to critically assess her personality and match her strengths and weaknesses to potential careers. We give informed up-to-date guidance on chosen careers and higher education choices.
The department has excellent facilities: located in the new sixth form centre where all girls can browse through current careers information, leaflets, magazines, notices, in their free time.
Pupils are encouraged to discuss their ideas with careers staff that are available during lunch time sessions in the Careers Department. Information on a wide range of careers, advice on university/college prospectuses and applications, gap year activities, sponsorship, grants, work experience/shadowing, conferences, work and study abroad is all widely accessible. Special events are arranged during the school year to help the girls make informed decision.
We have a very well stocked award-winning Careers Library as well as the best available careers' software accessible to all students on the school's networked computers, which also have access to the Internet.
